I believe, I’m not the only one. This is a little bit complicated and because these conflicts are more and more often, we should probably want to know why. I knew, Paris is not a safe city so far, therefore, I asked my Muslim friend about the explanation. According to his words, there aren’t two or more types of the Islam, there’s just one and Koran is saying you can’t kill defenseless people. Charlie Hebdo actually wrote some articles against Muslims but it doesn’t mean they need to be murdered. Muslims have unusual traditions. They can’t have coitus with the elected woman they want to get married with before the wedding, but they can have more wives and the marriage is terribly expensive. | |
The diversity is everywhere where you look. I sit in a café, having my americano and because I like watching people around (quite creepy I know), I’ve realised there are three gays couples opposite to me and next to me, there are two lesbians showing their love by kissing each other…is that disgusting? I don’t have the answer for this question but I’m sure you have. It is inside us and sometimes things happen. And I was thinking where is love in Paris? Is it in the fascinated locks close to Notre Dame? Or in the terrorist who killed the innocent people, did they love their religion so badly that it is worth killing? No, it’s more wounding than loving. Or is it in the kissing of two lesbians?
Let me quote Amy Thomas who said:
"I guess it goes to show that you just never know where life will take you. You search for answers. You wonder what it all means. You stumble, and you soar. And, if you’re lucky, you make it to Paris for a while.”
So I guess, there is still something waiting for me in the ancient winding medieval streets or in the massive cathedrals or maybe, it is easier to have your eyes open and stay creepy and watch people like I do. Finally, the spring is coming into my soul....
